Background[edit]
The canyon name and grid reference was provided to guidebook author Rick Jamieson during the feud with guidebook author "SUBW" Dave Noble. The canyon name supplied was PJ's Canyon.
In posts on OzCanyons, the initials are revealed:
- 2 April 2001, Martin P says, "What about PJs Canyon being listed!!! I wonder if he has figured the initials out?". That was in response to a post with the subject: "Canyons Near Sydney 4th Edition - Sheep Dip"
- 31 March 2006, Rik D says: "I think the one you looked at from the bottom is Gateway Canyon; it is described in PJ's book." The PJ refers to Rick Jamieson.
The PJ initials are intended to mean "Prick Jamieson".
