Introduction
Venedo Canyon drops in from near Glendora Mountain Road down into the San Gabriel Reservoir.
A 200ft rope and 200ft pullcord were brought on the first descent.
Approach
Park one car at the Burro Canyon turnout on East Fork Road, and another on Glendora Mountain Road at the major turnout west of the GMR/GRR junction. (Cannot recall road name, Garcia or something? Not on my maps.)
Hike north on this road until you find a suitable place to drop in. The further down, the better.
Descent
A fair amount of bushwhacking as well as several
Exit
Hike north and then east along East Fork. Aim for that huge ramp at the bottom of Burro Canyon.
Red tape
Be aware of where you'll be exiting the canyon, right onto the OHV area, which may or may not be flooded, requiring a raft.
