Introduction[edit]
Starting from the plateau southwest of Karak, this is a complete 16km aqua-trek, with 8 rappels, the first 4 of which are dry. You'll get wet from then on.
It has it all – from narrow gorges with short downclimbing sections and slides into pools, to the lush tropical vegetation at the end! A serious undertaking requiring good physical fitness, with prior training recommended. Allow 8 to 11 hours for the entire trek, culminating in the exit onto the Dead Sea coastal plain. It can easily be done over two days, with an overnight bivouac near the entrance. Wetsuits recommended in winter.
