Introduction

One of the top 10 hikes in the world, according to National Geographic. At 14 miles long, it is said to be the longest slot canyon in the world. Usually done as an overnight trip and in combination with Paria Canyon.

The most popular and best entrance to use when visiting Buckskin Gulch is the Wire Pass trailhead. Other options are the Buckskin Gulch trailhead and Middle Route trailhead, both of which are poor and rarely used options. An advance five day backpack can be done from the full Buckskin TH to Lee's Ferry walking the Paria river. Water locations are critical on that route.
