Comment: What a fantastic hike the approach to this canyon is! It was a gorgeous overcast morning, whereas I suspect in full sun it might be misery. After passing Borax Man there is a saddle full of color with a green wash towards the canyon approach. I am thinking this would be a better drop in for the canyon and save climbing up two more ridges and saddles, and a horrible exposed down climb with a loose boulder scree field. So if I went again I would explore this option. The rest of the canyon is nice. The big rappel is exactly 200 feet and very loose rock. The last rappel is a 2-stage and has a high chance of getting your rope stuck.

Comment: Found only 3 of 5 rappels. Probably should have rappelled off the ridgeline on approach. Replaced webbing on R1/2 and rebuilt all anchors. Fireman belays are not recommended due to the prolific falling rock dislodged on rappels.
