Comments: Road, surprisingly, has been plowed up to the top so we were able to shuttle. Road in good shape, but watch for blind corners on the way up. Started hiking in the snow, but quickly dropped out of the snowline. Dropped in at the right and the going was good for about the first half. The lower half of the canyon has experienced major tree carnage, however, after the recent winter snow-pocalypse event and there's debris everywhere which takes Archer down several notches on the "fun" scale. Might want to give the creek a few years to clean out before attempting it again. Other than that temps (air & water) were perfect. Enough flow to be enjoyable, but beginner-friendly.

Comment: Archers Creek is a masochist's dream right now. There is so much blow down, log jams and brush that it is a constant slog without out much fun. Several of the rappels are now downclimbs through log jams. We think we bypassed the big 120 foot rappel at R6 because it was just a constant stack of log jams with no discernable safe rappel. We scrabbled DCL along a vague game trail to get around it. The anchors were all still good and we added a couple of out own. Overall, although it's always good to get out and canyon, this one is not worth it. It's just too much work fighting the log jams and brush. I'm rather beat up after this one.

Comment: Took my dad and brother down this canyon while everything else was in high flow. Fairly mellow rappels with straight forward anchors. There was a lot of salmon berry and devil's club to push through and logs to crawl over. On a hot day the wet suit would be needed more to protect you from bushes than keep you warm. Fun for once canyon.

Comment: Great water today -- the upper falls were nice & splashy. Unfortunately, the creek degenerates past the giant old growth stump and becomes a woody mess at the bottom. Need to get a chainsaw in there to take them out. Would be a marvelous creek, if not for the blow-down.

Comment: Stopped by to check out flow rate, but ran Archer West instead.

Comment: First descent? Surprisingly nice little creek. Did 10-12 rappels, plus numerous downclimbs. Worthwhile early season objective to get back in the game. 1hr up; 6hrs in creek.
