Comment: Fun little morning jaunt. We fixed our rope for the only rappel and it was easy to pick up on the way back to the car. Some really beautiful corkscrew sections. I felt like the canyon was over to soon, though. A few muddy sections that were easy to stem over. Someone scratched all over a section of the wall mid canyon with hangman and tic-tac-toe. We did our best to try and erase it by rubbing handfulls of sand over the wall.

Comment: Very awesome drippy, melty canyon, beautiful sculpting and slot definitely a surprise! After running Slideanide/Constrychnine Ultimate Loop we took a side trip through Arsenic. We fixed our 200’ rope to pick it up after. The rappel is 2 massive stages and would otherwise be 2 separate rappels. There is a pool separating stages we were able to avoid by getting off rope and stemming. The sculpting and color on this rappel is fantastic! The canyon held plenty more down climbs and stemming to avoid getting wet. One pool is near the end is rather tricky to avoid, one of us managed to but 2 of us ended up slipping in. The arch on the hike out is a nice treat! Not far past the arch there is a bench and a trail that heads left despite the cairns and GPX directing you upwards. Hiking above the bench I could see the trail goes and I suspect it may go straight back to the first rappel. Having passed it up we followed the map gaining extra elevation then later downclimbing a sandy slope back to the canyon to retrieve our rope. I could see a faint trail DCL where I suspect that bench connected to…A very fun and totally worthwhile addition to our day! 2.5hr total, likely would be 3 if starting from TH parking.
