Comments: Had a surprisingly great time in Aster Creek. All rappels are not mandatory and there is some fun rappels/pools to enjoy!

Comment: A couple of notes:
Conditions were comfortable but pushy. Additionally the canyon was about triple the flow from the original FKD, and still very passable, however this canyon certainly would be more difficult in a higher flow. - Rappel 3 was out of play yesterday. The anchor is no longer present due to floods and there’s now a dead tree at the bottom of the water course making it a strainer. - Rappel 5’s anchor is heading out the door, we still used it however this tree will likely fully die soon and disappear making the 5th rappel quite complicated. - There’s some more sticks and brush in the canyon, particularly where the view point is, so ensure that you set rope lengths perfectly or else you’ll be quite the spectacle.
