Comments: Our group of 6 did this canyon in about 3.5 hours in the afternoon after the hike in and it was very toasty on the approach, mostly dry in the upper section but pretty full in the lower section. The lower section is similar to the “happy” section in Choprock with cool spring fed pools and lots of fun. Not a destination canyon but worth it if you’re in the area. We used a mix of toggles and existing bolts on all rappels, final drop of the opening 3 rap sequence is off a slung rock instead of the extremely suspect bolt.

Comment: Group of 5. Camp to camp 5 hours total time. Approach 1 hour, 900 foot gain over 1 mile. Descent 3.5 hours. Exit hike 0.5 hours. The first rappel can be downclimbed on the left down a steep gulley then around a horn and down. It is slightly exposed but is easier than it looks. R1, bushes, 140 feet. R2, single bolt, 110 feet. R3, boulder, 50 feet. R4, single bolt, 30 feet or optional jump. We downclimbed and partner-captured on several drops that some groups may want to rappel. Wetsuits were required.
