Comments: This canyon is so awesome, we were shocked it was not already on Ropewiki and that we didn’t see any evidence of previous anchors. Better than Pittman and Jose for sure. And there’s a waterfall visible from the road! Who knows what other gems are hiding in plain sight?
The flow was quite strong in the granite hallways, and we took extra care to make sure we could safely make our way through them before committing. We were able to fiddlestick and boulder-sling our way through this canyon, but wish we had brought a bolt kit.

Comment: Went through and replaced all the webbing, and added bolts to make the R5 hallway more manageable. The flow was pretty low, but still enough to make some of the downclimbs a bit more challenging.

Comment: The water flow was wimpy, but the pools were full. The water temp was quite chilly, making a wetsuit nice, but not necessary. The anchors in the lower slot section needed rebuilding, and their positions make for awkward rappels and tricky rope pull (special challenges). We did the shuttle and were able to drive all the way to the end of the OHV/ATV road because it was recently plowed for logging trucks. I will note: a team could hike up the hillside in the trees from the exit trail and do a non-shuttle version.
