Comments: nice weather and only occasional mud pits! we ghosted or used existing webbing at all drops. good to stagger team on climb up out of rio gallina canyon.

Comment: This was our first canyoneering trip and it did not disappoint! This canyon was a lot of hiking, but it was beautiful. All of the rappels were straight forward and used trees as the anchor. We went 2 days after it rained so it was really muddy and we had to wade in water up to our waist. The hike out was pretty strenuous. When you get to the end of the canyon, there isn't a clear trail leading back up to the car so we hiking up a steep canyon and then followed the high points back to our car. Having an inReach and navigating by GPS coordinates was really helpful. Great first trip!
