Planned to backpack in Friday, due Blue Saturday then set up camp at the base of Crown, then hike up and do Crown Sunday, then hike out Monday. We were light on Beta and found Blue nearly totally unrigged. We used up most of our rigging supplies and got out of Blue after dark, and took Sunday as a rest day. Recommendation: if these canyons haven't been run yet this year, bring 120-150 feet of webbing Per Canyon and >24 rap rings Per Canyon (we brought a total of 100 feet of webbing and 40 rap rings total, and used 100 feet of webbing, 10 feet of rope, and 23 rap rings by the end of Blue).

Blue and Crown can probably be done quite comfortably as a 5 day trip (day 3 is a rest day/beach day). We didn't use mules. In August, bug pressure was low. We cowboy camped and didn't need any bug spray or bug nets. That's right: bug pressure was low, no tents above or in Tehipite in mid-August.

Water seemed a bit low. Splashy, you'd get soaked on rappel; but generally not hazardous to walk in. I wore a 3mm Farmer John w/ a raincoat. The rest of my party wore 3mm or 5mm full body wetsuits. USGS Gage at Kaweah at 3 Rivers was reading at 63 cfs.
