Comments: Did little blue down to lower blue john then upclimbed main fork and back to car. This was an awesome day. Little blue was nice but super short. Technical section probably took us 30min. The slog down to lower blue was dull but not bad. Lower blue was the highlight! This section rivals the best spots in alcatraz and is the best section of blue john. There was a tiny bit of water but it was avoidable. The patio at the final rappel into horseshoe canyon was impressive! Upclimbing main fork was burly, but super fun. After 8 miles of hiking with heavy packs we had barely enough juice left to get up main. Definitely would bring lighter packs next time. This route isn't the best bang for your buck due to 9-10 miles of hiking, but great type 2 fun! 6 hours 15 minutes total.

Comment: We went down Little Blue, continued down to Lower Blue then returned back and ascended out Middle Blue. What a day!! Little Blue was very short, 2x50’ drops pretty sculpting, over quick… hike down to Lower Blue took an hour of mostly bland wash walking to reach. Lower is also very short and holding water. I was able to stem over all of the water. The dark section in Lower is very neat! Reached the patio and final rap then turned around and went back. Im glad I saw lower but I wouldnt bother making the trek again as it is a very short section of slot. After another hour hike back we reached Middle Fork and started up. Holy Cow Middle was stunning!! Super high walls, very grandiose! The shadows and sculpting were beautiful down below. Water was avoidable. Chimmneying up the various drops was definitely challenging but fun! I had to top rope one of my partners up a climb. It can turn exhausting quick! These 5th class chimneys are not for beginners! We had a blast and I think we all enjoyed Middle the most! It was also much longer than the other two. It took us 1.5hrs to ascend up and out of Middle. The hike back out was long, sand, and uneventful. Total time 7.5hrs

Comment: Holy moley what a day! We joined a rather large group (10+) and got 5 AM start to set up the car spot at the Grand Gallery trailhead. Actual start to the canyon from the Little Bluejohn trailhead at 7 AM +/-. LT and I spent nearly a hour at the first rappel due to our crowd due to the number of people. We worked our way through the canyon admiring all of the beauty that Lower Bluejohn entails. This sculpted slots of this canyon are truly underrated! On the last rappel, we narrowly avoided a rope break due to a core shot that emerged in my rope. We repaired and finished the last rappel. The exit hike went past the Grand Galley section of Canyonlands NP. Exquisite finish - especially since LT brought wine for the art gallery! There was quite a bit of desert walking on the exit. Fortunately, we had our own ways of staying entertained for the long hike. After a long and eventful hike from the Gallery, we got to the cars and rode away to the sunset. What a day!
