Comment: Canyon was dry, all anchors were in good shape.
Rap starts were a bit spicey/tricky due to the jutting ledges. Final rap is very long, lots of loose rock laying around, but is a nice final descent. No issues with approach or exit, but I personally find other canyons far more enjoyable in this area.

Comment: All anchors in place and in new/ excellent condtion. We used the morning to practice using the fiddle stick and other techniques. Baby frogs everywhere.. watch your step! A fun and casual outing.

Comment: Replaced missing anchors. The big rappel was a great one for the new member on our team. We combined with Miyagi for a full value day.

Comment: All anchors looked good. Great conditions for a morning run on Bobcats. 3 rappels total. We had fun practicing partner assists at the short drop between r2 and r3

Comment: Overall the route was in pretty good shape. The last rappel we removed about 80 feet of webbing. We removed all webbing and replaced it with one single loop of new black webbing. We also removed rocks stacked on the backside of the boulder, and on top of the webbing. The anchor is clean and easy to inspect. The new guy did great.

Comment: This is a really nice canyon if you have a time crunch ! We had plans to meet friends for lunch and were able to knock this one out in just over 2 hours car to car. All anchors in good condition but webbing at R3 is getting slightly crunchy…. Will need to be replaced soon-ish. Approach is mostly on bear mtn trail so although it has some elevation gain it’s quick and easy. Easy to find R1 by following 2nd drainage on first bench of bear mtn. 1st rap was my favorite ! Very cool freehang with an easy start. 3rd rap is the money rap of course as it is the longest! Exit is soooo easy. It took us 13 minutes to get from bottom of R3 to the car. We did have to cross 2 ditches en route to the developed trail but we followed the gps route and the crossings were in good easy spots. Overall a great morning! Would repeat in a time crunch or with a group who wanted to rappel but with minimal hiking.

Comment: 2.5 hours car to car. All anchors in good shape. Fiddle stick or retrievable anchor was ideal for r1 and r3. Take caution at r2 as there is a large detached block on the right down canyon side that could come dislodged.

Comment: R3 anchor was removed as it is an easy downclimb either RDC or in the watercourse.
R1 anchor was modified from a large extended anchor to a small single loop. Fiddle stick on the last rappel made for an easy pull and less chance of rock fall on retrieval. Solid morning with a brand newbie.

Comment: Easy approach. Find watercourse on left. First two raps had tricky starts. Final rappel is mainly walked with small overhang. Retrieved rope far back from ledge, though no rocks came down. All webbing looked good. My group really liked this canyon, despite its simplicity. Canyon is beautiful and fun to traverse.

Comment: We caught Bobcats with a decent amount of flow! It was freezing cold and hailed on us during the approach. The trail was muddy from the rain over night but our stoke was high. I definitely recommend this canyon when its flowing! It is so much better. No issues. Replaced some webbing at one of the anchors. This route concluded our 3 day adventure in Sedona with some amazing friends!

Comment: Good run with someone brand new.
All anchors are in good condition. downclimbed R3. Top of R4 is looking better, there is still some loose rock up top. Be careful on the pull.

Comment: Was hoping for a trickle of flow considering the recent rains but canyon was dry. Raps were all easy and straightforward. Downclimbed R3. Watch all the loose rock at the top of R4. 2 hours flat with two people moving at a respectable pace.
