Comments: We ran Bozoo again as part of our Freeze Fest. Air temps were in the upper 40s when we got to the starting point around 9:30 AM. There was minimal packed snow on the ground so a passenger car could likely make it. We decided to hike directly up to about ~4000ft instead of taking the overgrown road and making the switch back since the road was covered in about 2 feet of snow. The post holing would have drained our energy/slowed us down so we proceeded directly up the mountain. The post holing when cutting across to our drop in around 4000 was terrible. Waist deep postholing, stick close to your team so you can help them out of the holes. The canyon packs in a lot of rappels if you're crazy enough to run canyons in these conditions. The cold will catch up to you by the last 3-4 drops and these are some rappels where you are completely in the water. Dry suit with rain jacket + hood highly recommended also we had several of our team where an insane amount of neoprene. Freezefest II complete.
