Comments: I ran this canyon just after reading Brennen's autobiography. Unfortunately, the canyon was a disappointment with massive amounts of dead brush and aquatic vegetation throughout the whole R5-R7 section. I had to constantly wriggle under the vegetation and through shallow pools like the Wet Offensive from Tropic Thunder. I did a total of three rappels -- 5, 10, and 11. R1 was a reasonable downclimb after choosing the chute that offered the most protection, and the other rappels were easily downclimbable considering the amount of brush available to hold onto. The money rap R11 was spectacular with a high-quality bolted anchor. I wonder if there's a possibility to sneak around to this rap without running the rest of the canyon?
