Comments: Used the short cut approach. You want to drop in at the small pullout instead of the user trail 100 feet to the south. That user trail drops you into devils club. Creek was fun, there is a landslide with a lot of trees and logs at the bottom of R3. Its very messy! The exit trail must be getting lots of use because its become established and easy to follow. Caution, the trail will take you onto private property. We avoided the private property by entering and staying in the creek to the north side of the bridge.

Comment: Had trouble finding the shortcut entrance and ended up setting a hand line on a steeper section a few yards upstream of R1. Higher and colder water than expected. We rebuilt the anchor on R4 as the webbing was in pretty bad shape. We hit a yellow jacket nest on the trail DCL before we hit the private property line resulting in several stings to two of our team members.

Comment: Please do not run the last falls due to public safety concerns. Hikers often hangout in the lowest pool and the land manager has asked us not to run it as a rock or branch could dislodge and hurt someone.

Comment: Great route. Enjoyed the grippy rock and fresh anchors. Beautiful rappels. Good canyon!

Comment: Fantastic day in Bridal Veil -- flow is just about perfect at this level. New single bolt has been added to R2 to improve the anchor situation. Good horizontal recirculation going on underneath R4. Did have one unfortunate encounter with the local land owner (land west of the creek) on returning to the parking lot. In future, canyoneers should probably remain in the creek or stay on the east side (State Park land) to avoid issues. Exit information has been updated with a property line map.

Comment: Dropped in via the shortcut route just above the technical section. Bridal Veil Falls is as photogenic as ever and the bedrock is for-the-most-part grippy. Exited at the bridge. More of a trail than I remembered from R4 out. No weirdos were encountered. :-)

Comment: We shuttled the creek and parked at the pullout marked on the map. We did the second approach on the list, walked back down the road .25 to a drainage and dropped in where the cars are in the bottom of the creek. There is a little pull out parking here also which could be used. R1 was good. I wish it was more in the flow. We couldn't find R2 so downclimbed and jumped. I modified the beta to reflect this. R3, I didn't see an anchor DCR. Used anchor from tree DCL. Dropped off the front of the tree and threw pull off the back which made the pull easy. R4, I modified the beta. We installed webbing on a boulder DCR. This was a great line in this flow. Exited after R4 on a trail DCL. It was hard to follow at times. You will mostly find it closer to the creek and will lose it the farther you wander from the creek which is good because from reading trip reports, there could be private property issues.

Comment: Beautiful creek, as always, and flows were fun. Be aware of your location on the exit. We didn't see the no trespassing signs that were up last time I was here and while we remained on state land we got close enough to the adjacent private property for the owner's roaming dogs to sense us and bark, which prompted the lady to investigate. She is aware of canyoneers' presence and not friendly toward our use of the area, so if in doubt about where the user trail is or goes stay as close to the creek as possible. There was a ton of new flagging that wasn't there in April.

Comment: Fun day. Started at the big bend in the road and the flows were spicy. This added a few slides to the equation.

Comment: Hiked up around 12:30 pm; hiked up to the recommended drop in point but couldn’t see an easy bushwhacking route. Hiked back about a quarter mile, then another 50-100 paces from a blue marker to a tree which we fiddlesticked off in 4 stages to drop directly near the 3 cars before the main fall (special challenges). Water was cold with some random deep swims throughout. We fiddled for R2 (after the narrow chute/log route DCL) as there wasn’t any evident anchors. With the late start we got out right after dark and bailed on R5-6 (took the bridge exit DCL near the foundation). Definitely a slog from R4 to the bridge given the amount of creek walking and boulder hopping.

Comment: With so much trash dumped off the road above, we had low expectations for the creek, but it turned out to be surprisingly fun. Dropped in on the recommended entrance to a short stretch of creek walking with tiresome boulders, before giving way to bedrock. Four quality rappels. Upper Bridal Veil is hugely photogenic and it's surprising there isn't a decent trail to this one. At the bottom of R4 followed the jungle trail out. Skipped R5 & R6 as it's a show waterfall in full view of the tourists.

Upon returning to reclaim our shuttle vehicle at the drop-in, we were treated to the bizarre spectacle of a couple of teenage goth kids taking selfies with their pet pigeon. Truly emblematic of the Bridal Veil area.

Comment: Great day in the water. Lots of creek walking and cascade down climbing. Rappelled mostly out of the flow. Got out at the bridge due to tourists

Comment: Only had one car so hiked the shuttle. Dropped in at the bridge which I would probably not recommend as it added quite a bit of creek walking (~1h to first rappel). Flow was just about perfect so we rapped in the flow, and we could jump R3 easily. Anchors were all in good shape!

Comment: There was a lot of water moving, which makes sense, because I should really just accept that the season is probably over. Still, the creek was very doable, and absolutely beautiful. Be ready to get beat up, this was probably one of the more physical creeks I've experienced. Rappels mostly out of the main flow. We didn't use a second car to shuttle, so instead spent about an hour total walking on the road. Skipped the final two rappels (Bridal Veil Falls).

Comment: This canyon still has a significant amount of water. Once you complete Middle Bridal Veil Falls, there is a bit of river walking. The other option instead of river walking is to find a faint trail DCL that goes all the way to the bridge. We rappelled Bridal Veil falls on a weekday, but it may be advisable not to rappel it during the weekend to avoid attracting unnecessary attention.
