Comments: An amazing day in Lower Brimstone! We did Spooky, The Beast, and ROC in a day. Time is for all 3. It was a group that was somewhat new to desert canyons so going was quite slow. Overall lots of movement to different levels vertically to find passages wide enough to go through and comfortable to stem. The lower section was amazing. A great Subway room and some very cool slots. It is definitely worth hiking in from the bottom even if you don't want to try the R+ stemming.

We saw 3 baby snakes and one parkouring mammal which helped to keep things lively.

Bring lots of water obviously. We brought ~2 liters and our party wanted more for sure.

Comment: Did the Lower Brimstone "The Beast" route as described in the Bluugnome beta. Our drop-in point was a couple hundred feet up canyon of where the confluence is marked on that map, scrambling down a minor side drainage instead, which seemed a bit easier. Three of us stayed low the whole time, the rest of us stemmed over the tightest section, which was generally quite easy--there's a very comfortable stemming level something around 30-40 ft off the ground. Canyon was totally dry.

Comment: Some tiring chimneying in the lower section. I had a pack with rope as I started up at the top section. This made it very tricky.

Lots of swimming at the end. The walls were slick with mud, forcing me to swim sideways in the slot, pushing my pack in front of me.
