Comments: Walked down the ridge and dropped in at R1 instead of going down the creek from the trail. Lots of trees and debris at the top of R1 that won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. With anchor DCL both tiers of rap are clean. R2 had a bunch of logs, branches, and loose rocks. We pushed 4 logs off the left side, along with all the branches and rocks. Pool dropped about 1.5 ft afterwards. Left side is clean now (picture attached) but the right side rocks and logs are still there which will slide if the area gets more flow. Herman was raging.

Comment: Returned to Camp Creek after a visit 2 weeks prior. Cleared some of the debris from the top of R1. The R3 anchor is now on a tree DCR and not on the unstable log pile. The exit through Herman Creek required a rappel from a log pile DCR and swimming.

Comment: Checking out Camp to see how it fared post-fire. Area is still fairly unstable with a lot of loose rock, downed trees and branches in the creek. It takes awhile to reach the rappels, but all were fairly clean and largely unchanged. As a lot of the vegetation around Herman Creek burned away, we were able to identify the better route out. Will probably take a few more years for Camp to fully stabilize. Other than that, it's a nice beginner creek.

Comment: Fun little creek, short and sweet. Previous parties had left anchors at all the drops, most of it was in really good shape, but the webbing above R3 was a bit of a mess and showing signs of wear, so I replaced it and cleaned up some of the tree branches that were in the way.

Comment: Fun romp. Good conditions in mid-May - although this was a low snow year.

Comment: Low water but fun mellow day out. Swimmer on Herman Creek.
