Comments: The integral descent requires a shuttle with 2 differents cars or leave your car at the exit and take the bus up toward Palo Verde. From then the hike down the "Boca del Toro" (begining of the canyon) is easy (30min approx). You can also enter under the "Aguila Rock" but the upper part is really worth it. Or you can do only the upper part (Boca del Toro and Garganta del Toro) which is the most beautiful, but still the all descent is worth it and not really technical. Anchors have been changed this same day (march 2021). Mainly double anchors but also singles anchors that are OK. Be carefull to exit the canyon before 6PM for we heard the area wasn't very safe at night time. There is a bus at Nogales where you exit that can drop you downtown of ciudad mendoza (10 pesos). So you can basically do it all in bus ! The walk back to Nogales : after the last waterfall (hilos de plata), exit left and try to follow a path that remains left side of the river and the closest to the river (don't go up).

Comment: A beautiful and deep limestone canyon with nice sculpted sections and fun easy flow. Unfortunately it's pretty trashed. Huge tangles of garbage in various spots throughout the canyon. Makes me sad. It had rained for a couple days before we went and the water was dirty-brown and made me uncomfortable. Not horrible but enough that we were all avoiding submerging our heads. The canyon is a lot of fun with plenty of rappels (mostly short but some fun medium length ones) and lots of downclimbing. We lost count of how many raps we did but maybe 18-20. I forgot my phone so wasn't able to make a kml but here are some tips: for the approach, stay left on the main trail to stay up until the 2nd trail down, which will take you to the top of the complete route. we took the 3rd and it was well above the technical section. You can also start somewhere around the piedra de aguila which is a little above half. you'd miss most of the best parts of the canyon though. for the exit, don't climb up following the mangueras. wait till a nice trail starts up LDC and parallels the river, staying low. I also heard that it can be a little sketchy at the exit parking after dark. I'd maybe ask someone in a shop there to watch the car. throwing a little money their way would probably be wise.
