Comments: Pleasant stroll through Chinook. Some bolt placements were a little odd. A number of bolts have galvanized quick links that are already rusting and should probably be replaced. Added a chock anchor to rappel last two drops (100') below Chinook Falls just for fun.

Comment: Last trip report was from 2020, but curious to know when its been run since then as all the raps were found to be bolted now. Cleaned some of the old tat out and think the new setup provides for a much better experience, especially on the last rap which now has a great free hanging section of the rappel. Flow was very low and probably could have gotten away with using just a farmer john style suit if even that.

Comment: Fun and easy canyon. Great for a chill day after running Olallie. Easy (but steep) hike in and out on trail. Minimal bushwhacking both ways. Limited options for natural anchors, did a couple dry rappels. Lots of open sunny spots and great views.

Comment: First descent of Chinook after maybe three years? Pretty fun, mostly mellow descent with easy access and exit -- and lots of beautiful waterfalls. Strangely, we found no anchors t'all in the canyon. The big drop has limited natural anchors and would be a good candidate for bolting. We used a tree right out on the edge DCR for a dry pitch, but would be more fun to run the flow.
