Comments: Shuttle was close to 90 minutes from Kernville. Approach was super simple. You quickly start losing elevation and don't ever stop (over 5K total). There are 3 drainages that can feed the flow into Corral Creek and in a good winter this canyon might have some real fun spring flow pushing through it. Sadly we didn't get to see conditions like that with mostly a trickle. The technical section is a huge granite section with tons of anchor options. The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking. We found the path of least resistance down but some of our anchors might not work in a high flow year. The creek exit was filled with Poison Oak and more ants than you've ever seen in your life. It was slow wading through the creek bed and if the creek was pumping more you might have to exit via even worse bushwhacking. We broke RDC to the ridgeline once the walls allowed for it and could finally see the escape pods. Just a mile and 1/2 to go (with 2K more feet of elevation loss). Hope your quads are jacked.

Comment: First decent down corral creek! We did the "fun" fork. The technical parts of the canyon were pretty fun but they were overshadowed by the bushwhacking, poison oak, and unfathomable amount of ants. With more water flow and less brush this canyon could be quite nice but in its current state its not really worth doing with 7tc just down the road. Willie: we still need to check out the rest of the technical section, since we exited early around 35.86307, -118.41526 up onto the ridge 35.86231, -118.41862, traverse to 35.86127, -118.42299, then angled down toward the dirt road climbing up the ridge in the distance.
