Comments: All anchors were in good shape. The keeper pothole wasn't keeping. It was cold and drizzly while we were in the slot, shifting to hail at one point. Although one member was okay in a 4/3, those of us in drysuits were happier. Time listed is from the rim to the river.

Comment: Webbing was in pretty great condition throughout the slot. We replaced two anchors for the entrance raps. The "keeper" is full of material and seems unlikely to be a keeper any time soon. I can't imagine doing this canyon in two days. The exit down to Deer creek camp was long and tiring, especially with heavy overnight bags. Numerous swims throughout with often very slick mud. The water was murky, sometimes stinky and never very cold. One member wore a 2mm shorty and was only slightly chilly towards the end.

Comment: Great canyon for Grand Canyon standards. A lot of hiking for just 3 hours of technical but worth the hike and worth the experience.
