Comments: I tried a shortcut near the top of the approach to get to the firebreak and paid for it with intense bushwhacking. It's probably best to keep climbing until the firebreak intersection. After requiring some bushwhacking near the drop-in, the canyon quickly changed in character and was a delight to travel down with a few downclimbs to add interest. At the R1 main event I rigged a fiddlestick off a stout root (added to the beta as the banner photo). After R2 the bushwhacking was more regular and there were a number of unpleasant sections interspersed with interesting downclimbs before the wash section began. There were some charming segments of flowing water. I didn't see any bears in the canyon. A short way along the wash, the East Fork merged with the main Delta Canyon wash and it was an easy jaunt from there to the road, which I walked along back to the Wildwood Picnic Site.
