Comments: First time running these waterfalls that I have visited before from below. We ghosted R1 DCR, which kept us on the edge of the flow. We left a webbing anchor on a tree DCR for R2 because we were concerned about the pull for a retrievable anchor. This line put us in the flow, which was fun/challenging at moderate flow. The area under the veil is beautiful, with a 5 foot long moss "stalactite" to the left as you pass! R3 anchor from a boulder is solid. There was a wasp nest here, but they were not stinging, so just be aware. Be gentle to the hanging gardens as you finish the final rappel. And expect spectators!

Comment: Great day at FCF. Big water. I don’t think the reference photos are close to accurate. Probably reversed in flow descriptions. Did the traditional way up so we could look at the flow. Water was a little brown. R1 could be better. Maybe a bolt DCR? R2 we used a traverse to the tree in the middle and went middle DCR. Went down 30 feet to a shelf and tossed a bolt in that is behind the veil (takes a little effort to get to the shelf) and out of site to the general public. Rapped to the bottom from there. We stayed out of the boiler hole as it looked wild and there’s a log in there. Put a bolt in the back of a boulder that’s in the middle of the creek and added webbing to keep things tidy. Fun day.

Comment: The scramble to the top tier is quite fun…looks like there was a rope assist but has since been cut down. There are no anchors set so I ghosted everything. R1 In flow dcr, r2 in massive flow dcr, r3 is pretty much a dry rap cause you’d have to be psycho to drop in That flow. Upper falls end in pool that’s deeper than you think. Middle section lets you fall behind the pour over and rap behind the falls which is amazing, def the highlight of the series of 3 drops.
