Comments: Flat and sandy canyon hiking northeast, eventually will connect with a 4x4 road with OHV and motorbikes. Final ascent towards the canyon rim was slight bushwacking, nothing technical. Once at the rim, slight confusion on direction to take; easiest general direction is a hard U-turn to the right and along the canyon rim for a short distance before dropping into the appropriate drainage for the rappel.
There are three main canyon fingers to look for, with the rappel in the third, and the descent to get there an arm that's located between the second and the third. Second canyon has an arch that's hard to spot, and the third canyon, with the rappel, won't have it's arch visible until you're nearly at the anchor.
Anchor was bolts with chains and a thick quicklink, all in good conditions. Rappel looks to be 40m towards canyon floor and a secondary anchor on slabby rock - that anchor appeared to be bolts and chains as well. We only had a single rope and no pull, not enough length to complete, and had to retreat. Hike out is fine, if long.
