Comments: We encountered full potholes with warm-ish water. No wetsuits were used and we were all plenty comfortable. Canyon gets a lot of sun and the final rap into the river is awesome. All anchors were solid and the pull on the last rap was ezpz. Highly recommended and an excellent way to experience the magnificence of Glen Canyon and the Colorado River.

Comment: We did 2 rappels total. Fun downclimbs, and deep pools to bypass. The 2nd to last rappel was a good beginner downclimb. We took the ropes trail for a quicker exit. We also drove pretty far into the canyon which was nice, we left a shuttle at the ropes trail.

Comment: Deep sand on approach. Wading through multiple cold pools, some with a thin layer of ice and others with neon green algae. One pothole was a brief swimmer with water several feet below the lip - we were able to climb out using a submerged ledge. Potential for true keepers to develop as floods move material in/out. Final rap lands in deep water and we descended directly into pre-inflated rafts. This time of year there is very little direct sun exposure on river for the 12mi exit paddle.
