Comments: Likely a first descent of Fisher Creek as we found no other anchors or signs of passage. Had low expectations on water levels, but it turned out to be surprisingly good after the area received an inch of rain the night before. Creek was a little overgrown suggesting that Fisher runs low during the summer months. Spring and fall are likely the best. Lost count of the number of rappels, but the creek remains pretty action packed until after the final rappel sequence.

Comment: We had a great low-key adventure in Fisher Creek. When in low flow a3 conditions, this canyon is suitable for beginners led by competent leaders, but easily would push a4/a5 in moderate or higher flows. Given the low-flow conditions, we only needed to rap about 4 of the drops. Our group decided not to leapfrog, and we ended up rebuilding each of the 4 anchors where we rapped - we were not rushing. Based on the state of the webbing I don't think anyone had been in-canyon for at least 3 years. I hope our bush-whacking benefits someone. The shuttle makes for a good pay-to-play ratio, especially for dusting off the cobwebs at the beginning of a season.
Things to note: -some stations are rigged high presumably for better rope pull. A couple of these trees flex more than ideal, so be mindful to slow-start and rap smoothly, or set a lower anchor for the group and LAMAR could pull from the higher anchor. -LAMAR should scout the rope pulls thoroughly- we were fine, but this could be a challenge for some given the vegetation. -Log jams were unstable in a few locations and rock was the typical amount of slick of the PNW. -The difficulty and risk of this canyon increases exponentially at moderate and higher flows. There is ample evidence that this canyon carries high flood flow in winter/spring. I also witnessed a potentially nasty sieve on DCR that could form at high flows. (I believe after the technical section?) -Entry and exit could use re-taping. Forgot my survey tape. Note that the loggers are using pink tape, so maybe bring a different color! -The canyon is mostly shaded and can be a little windy, so if going with a 4/3mm bring a splash jacket etc. -Lots of downclimbing!
