Comments: Light trickle from recent rains. Easy, scenic approach. Rappels are nothing special and it’s over quick, but it would be a good beginner/training canyon. May be some potential to add a third rappel…

Comment: Juniper R1 replaced, Pine R1 in good condition. Great to combine with hogwash, otherwise not very worth it. First drop about 100ft off of juniper, chose to move over to tree anchor RDC, would rappel straight over RDC, otherwise the slab traverse over could be dicey. If going off of Pine far back from edge, probably around 150 ft of rope required, not quite sure. Very mellow approach.

Comment: Used the large pine tree far back from the edge for the first rappel, the trees near the edge looked very tired. Great canyon to check off on the way out of town!

Comment: First rappell from pine tree is more than 90 feet. You can make a 200 foot rope work which we did but better to have a pull line as it's more like 115 feet. Other than that it's easy to find and when we hiked out we were spotting other potential anchors for cool rappells.

Anchor was moved to stronger juniper close by LDC. We set the rope RDC to make the 100' work.

Comment: Adam spotted this quick and fun line from broken arrow trail head.
we hiked up and behind (South) on twin buttes trail, and followed a social trail to the drop in. Very easy and scenic approach to r1. r1 is about 90' off a small pine set back from the edge. We cleared most of the loose debris from the edge. Easy fun first rappel with feet most of the way, drops you into second ledge/ cove. One more rappel of about 65' from an anchor up high in the large pine gets you back down to the slick rock watercourse, where you can hike out LDC. Short walk to car. new anchors. worth doing for someone brand new, or those seeking a quick and fun loop.
