Comments: Dry upstairs. Very low flow downstairs, but clean water. No jacket. High friction for ropes. Equipment may suffer with abrassive stone at final narrows. Check flow at river Balces prior to start.

Comment: First 2/3s of the canyon were not enjoyable; very dry and not spectacular. The final 1/3 section was full of narrow slots with deep pools and made the canyon worth running once. You are treated to an amazing river at the end of the hike, but the other 2/3s of the hike out were not memorable.
