Comments: We were excited to get back out to the Fish Creek area now that Apache Trail is repaired. Very scenic area with great views, tall cliffs, and beautiful desert flora. The saguaros were particularly nice. As for the canyon, we saw five anchors total. All but one need to be replaced. The first one is short and possibly could be downclimbed. The second can be downclimbed on the right by chimneying down a skinny crack. The third might be able to be downclimbed with lots of friction, but it's about 20 feet, so we didn't risk it. The cave is at the base of the fourth one. Then there's one final one into an alcove from a small tree. Yes, we are guilty of leaving the long strand of purple webbing. Forgot scissors... doh! Tons of catclaw to bust through on the exit. Good luck!
