Comments: Despite waiting til October for the flows to hit their minimum for the first descent, we still had to contend with 100F temps. Despite this, the hiking actually wasn't horrible - we hiked to the campsite Friday night, and did the descent + return to campsite in 12 hours on Saturday. Future trips will be a lot faster, as we added a few hours bolting and messing around.
The canyon was at a <1CFS trickle, which was a lifesaver in keeping us cool. A higher flow trip when the wildflowers are in bloom looks like it'll be a lot more fun.
