Comment: It took us 75 minutes from the handline in to the exit rope. We spent a lot of time building the exit rope anchor, as all of the sandstone rocks available were wet and brittle to the touch. We searched far and wide to find dry, solid material for the anchor to no avail. We made a deadman backed up by a deadman with rocks that easily could disintegrate if stepped on. This was our biggest concern. The ascent up the exit rope is easy as far as ascending goes. It's high-angle but not vertical, with about 100 feet to ascend and then 75 feet of handlining. The crux downclimb was hard because we couldn't see from the top. Once on the bottom, it wasn't too bad for our last person to downclimb. It looks like someone carved out a step on canyon right near the bottom. The mousetrap was fairly wide back to feet. One of us starfish bridged it. Many wide silos after the mousetrap were much easier to go high if you can handle the exposure.

Amazing
