Comments: Completed the upper section which was quite short (2.5h car to car). 58ml on the gauge and our warm wetties as Barrington Tops is notoriously cold.
If being cheeky and taking the R4 direct line, consider zipping bags as there appears to be a snag hazard 2/3 down in direct flow. Both of us had our bags become stuck in the rocks and had to perform self-rescue in the flow. I don't think this would be an issue if using the re-direct.
There is also a fixed handline from the exit ridge to the R3 traverse bolt. Assuming this is for laps of the R4 slot abseil or to retrieve stuck ropes.
