Comments: Absolutely beautiful canyon - water was flowing enough to fill a few pools to swimmer depth, but they can be climbed around with some exposure and a few tricky moves. No big annoying bypasses, though. Hiked from camp where the Tonto trail intersects Grapevine Creek down close to Colorado River and back in a hurried four hours, plan on more like six hours to enjoy it more.

Heed the parks warnings about ravens and take your food or anything that could be mistaken food with you if hiking the canyon from a base camp - or leave it behind in a bomb-proof container.
