Comments: Some light run-off made for a nice run. Combined R1 and R2 for a single 150’ rappel. Small pool at the base of R3. Some fun downclimbs. Added R4 to the route, though it’s certainly a bonus rap. Shuttled FR 189 the short distance back to the start. Webbing is in good condition.
Combined with Orthrus Canyon. 6 hours total for both canyons.

Comment: Very fun little canyon! Rappels come instantly and in short succession. The geometric rock shapes in the canyon walls make for interesting and unique scenery. Lots to see in such a short canyon! A quick scramble up and you are back on a road. When you shuttle back up to the approach to retrieve the other vehicle, continue down the lesser used 4x4 trail to find a neat cliffside campsite with an incredible view!

Comment: Time includes anchor building, clearing brush from the watercourse, and exploring exit options. Suspect that most small groups will be in and out of the canyon in 2-3 hours max and that this route will be combined with other short options nearby. Originally set R1 RDC but due to loose rock adjusted LDC, hopefully for a better more free-hanging line. All webbing new. This one will likely be most worthwhile after rains.
