Comments: Actually a pretty great route! Seriously underrated! Hike in from Stave is super cruiser, clean trail whole way to drainage. Initial bushwack to get off trail and into drainage is super minimal, not thorny, and should not be a deterrent for the average canyoneer. It is over quick and the drainage is actually fairly bush free, par to course with the average Zion canyon. Lots of dirty sloping down climbs to get to R1. There are a few shallow spots of water ankle to waist deep, not very cold at all. Many of the rappels are fairly high quality, especially all the large ones, all very enjoyable! Incredible views in the 2nd half. The 260’ at the end is fantastic and free hanging. However, many of the bolts/hangers are very old and need updating. R8 bolts are small and somewhat loose. I feel that this is a very worthwhile canyon. A fun adventure that most Zion canyoneers would enjoy. Certainly blows similar shorter options like Lodge or Observation Point out of the water. Tom Jones says he did it so we dont have to... Well I did it to tell you that you should too! Beta updated (Blue Gnome beta is slightly off)
