Comments: Great way to approach Right Fork! Not worth doing on it’s own.
Approach took us 2 hours. Last bit is very bushy… but not thorny!
First rappel I suspect is much less than 165. A 150 would probably do it, perhaps even shorter! I wasn’t able to get an accurate measurement this time unfortunately.
All the other drops are around 40’ or less.
The canyon is quick and a neat crack with high walls Descent took us 2 hours. Where we continued our journey into right fork…

Comment: A fantastic way to access Right Fork of North Creek!
The approach from Lava Point down West Rim Trail was a breeze. There was a bit of bush near the end and loose down hill scramble to get to the first drop. The entry rap was beautiful with bits of free hang! The canyon has stunning high walls and multiple raps/downclimbs within. We replaced multiple anchors. Took us 5hrs from Lava Point at a very leisurely pace to reach the confluence with Right Fork where we continued our journey into the slot… | |||||||
