Comments: At the top of the trail turn right down an old logging road parallel to the road, NOT on the main road. However, I recommend starting the route at the switchback to the top of R3 and going down from there. Save about 250' of elevation gain, the bushwhacking and stream walking at the top, and only missing two minor drops.

We downclimbed R1 and did SIX raps and we're very good DCers. So unless we missed something... Also, last rap is about 65' from the tree anchor in the prime center spot not 55'.

Comment: The upper 1/4 mile river bed is very rough and full of logs and rotted wood and nothing to rappel. I would recommend bush wacking where you turn for the final big traverse when climbing up and work your way to the creek and start where the falls begin. Newer webbing in place and obvious. Nice grippy rock. Campground works but bathroom shut currently.
