Comments: A few spots of avoidable water. A few pools might be waist-deep but we didn't check them, most are very shallow. Anchors are in good shape (including the supplemental anchors). This was our first time down Hog 3. The PG rating is accurate. While there are some brief spots of exposure, nothing is all too exposed or difficult. Still if you're newer these spots will give you pause.

Despite recent precipitation, the whole area is dry and free of snow, ice, or puddles. That being said, we observed that some of the walls within the canyon were damp making the sand stone softer and more prone to break.

We took the shortcut over the gully exit, but it required a decent amount of bushwhacking to get through the watercourse to access the scramble up to the bench. I think it may be more efficient to just walk up canyon to the main junction and the take the standard trail to the gully exit.

Comment: Fun! Ran this one after Hog 1. This Hog's stemming was a step up from Hog 1, but pretty reasonable for mere mortals (who have practice with canyon movement and not too much fear). Nice to keep our feet dry on a cool November day.
