Comments: We spent the night before at the cabins in La Trinidad the night before the pit and drove down to Xilitla after visiting the pit. Our hike in took 2.5h and the return hike took roughly 1.5h. We brought a 775' rope and had ~75' on the floor for belay and ~75' left on top, putting our estimate closer to 650'. There are several natural anchors behind the rig point, but lots of padding and or a redirection is needed. If I visited again, I'd likely rig a pulley to the higher rock to the right to make the lip easier.
