Trip report URL:
Comments: A fun day exploring the James Range canyon off the Boggy Hole Track, taking the right-hand (northern) canyon at the junction. The route offered plenty of traversing, scrambling, and bouldering through a series of narrow gorges, slot canyons, and linked waterholes. The pools ranged from shallow to surprisingly deep, though the overall water level appeared to have dropped considerably. After the final gorge, an access point on the left leads up the ridgeline, revealing several flat, scenic spots ideal for camping with views across the range. The southern canyon remains unexplored for now — it looked heavily overgrown, and time was against us on this trip.
