Comment: Most of the canyon is holding a decent amount of water, making for some thigh to waist-deep pools. A wetsuit is probably recommended for slower groups since most of the pools are at the bottom of rappels where belaying is performed. All anchors were in good condition with the exception of the last rappel's webbing which we replaced.

Comment: Very nice canyon close to St. George. We shuttled, and parked a car along the highway and trekked cross-country to the trailhead, catching the newspaper rock slot as well. There were several places with unavoidable water, but the wetsuits we brought were overkill as it was less than waist deep.

Comment: We shuttled, but might be faster just to hike it from the exit trailhead. Relatively straightforward canyon. Wetsuits not required. Final rappel is probably closer to 190ft.

Comment: Quick and easy with a couple of fun drops. Beginner friendly with straightforward starts and rappels. There wasn't a drop of water which made everything move a little quicker. The traditional approach is no longer an option. One of the homeowners has gated off what used to be access and the whole area is posted with no parking and no trespassing signs. We parked at 3700 North and the 18 and traveled cross country until we ran into the Gila Trail.

Comment: A last minute trip after 4 days in the Grand Canyon. We had difficulty finding the trailhead for the approach, as it has been gated off and now has no trespassing signs. Found alternate parking area and walked cross country until we ran into the Gila Trail to take the rest of the way. Easy and straightforward, no surprises and good for beginners or kids. Fun couple of hours. We were expecting water but it was bone dry throughout.

Comment: Pothotes were full. First rappel was down-climbed by all but a beginner in our party. Second rappel is easily avoided DCR. Third rappel anchor station can be reached by climbing DCL up around what looks like an unavoidable filled pothole. This rappel drops you in a narrow hallway where 2 of our members put on their wetsuits for the unavoidable pool at the end of the next rappel. The rest of the group went without wetsuits. This first unavoidable pool was waist deep if you hug the wall DCR. Doubtful one could make a guided rappel to avoid it. The immediately following rap (100' I believe but could be wrong) drops you in another waist-deep unavoidable pool. There are pull issues on this rap due to some chock-stones in a massive crack. I suggest LAMAR get off rappel on top of the lower, larger chock-stone and wait there until after the rope is pulled. LAMAR should be able to down-climb the 12-ish feet from the chock-stone - if not, you're screwed. Last rap is pretty straight forward. Because it is a very popular hiking spot below I rapped out of the bag until I could see a people-free target zone before deploying the rope.
All anchors were in "usable" condition. Half of those without wetsuits got cold despite the 70 degree day. The wet part of the canyon receives little sunlight to warm up, and we had quite a bit of wind.
