Comments: We hiked from the river to the Jumpup confluence. Before about 1/2 mile above Showerbath the creek had good flow, and large boulders made for required scrambling and slowed progress significantly. Above this point the creek bed was dry, but the going was much easier and required no scrambling. Taking a side trip to look at Whispering Falls was worth it.

Comment: Saw sheep in the canyon! Many water crossings, neo socks recommended for fastest route

Comment: Hiked the section from Big Cove to Whispering Falls as an out and back from Hack. No water between Big Cove and Hack. Below Hack about 1.5 miles there is water in the creek bed for about a half mile, then dry until the Crack Baby pothole. The pothole is several feet lower than this time last year, but has water. Kanab Creek itself remains dry until about a mile and a half before Showerbath Spring, then flows well all the way to Whispering Falls, which was my turnaround this trip.
