Comments: Via the slot.

Water levels were fairly high - definitely a4 levels but all manageable. However for the experience level of some of the members of the group that meant fairly slow going. We also entered slightly higher up the slot, we went in slightly above the starting point for the wall over the small hill and added a tape anchor off a tree. We should have traversed at the same level as the wall start point to reach the P1 chains.

Added a mallion to the P3 (slot) anchor and replaced the very dead tape of 16b. Other anchors in good condition. A group experienced with white water would be fine.

Based on drop water levels for comparable recent trips and water levels in Kalang for another group the same day I'd estimate the guage would have been between 400Ml/day and 500/Ml/day but the gauge is out.

An SNR Scouts Advanced Canyon Training Trip.

    Comment: * Kowmung River @ Cedar Ford (212260) river gauge: 80.5 ML/d
    • Coxs River @ Kelpie Point (212250) river gauge: 187.0 ML/d
    • Weather: 27˚C, sunny
    • Water level assessment: low - all abseils/pitches can be done "in flow"
    • Party competency: Mixed: professional/advanced with a few intermediate participants
    • Trip length was due to delay experienced by injured party member requiring helicopter evacuation. Would have been several hours shorter otherwise.
    • Team was highly efficient before accident - which occurred at last waterfall (P17)
