Comments: The tree on the first anchor was coming lose of the earth around it (earth around roots was flexing away) when loaded and looked very likely to fail, consequently we had to move the anchor back to a large log across the canyon higher up. The new drop length is *18m* so you may need to bring a longer rope! Note that we reused the malion as it was in good condition but cut the tape on the original anchor. Do not replace the original anchor on the tree by the edge very high likelihood of failure!

The other two anchors were in good condition, although rigged in a way that is difficult to fully check up the side of the canyon.

Overall a nice trip in the drizzle. There was a somewhat clear track in (shall upload) although it has some slippery steep sections. Fairly easy going - we had some beginner abseilers who found the abseils fairly technical but they got through.

A SNR Scouts Trip.
