Comment: Higher flow than I witnessed years ago. The jumps are critical and landing needs to be precise. Getting to the very narrow jump takes a team assist. I’ve ran many canyons. The narrow jump was downright scary. Communications and rope management at this flow is crucial. Be ready to rescue. Only take the minimum amount of packs necessary. Anything extra will be a chore and you’ll dislike yourself. Swimming under the big log after the last rap is a bit scary but goes. You’ll do this twice. 🫣

Comment: Flow was solid A4, there is a dangerous pourover that needs to be respected This is the kind of canyon that is very chill except for a few moments that require respect, a solid team, and an awareness of hydraulics. Don't enter this canyon lightly, even at these levels its a big objective.

Comment: Snuck in the last descent of the season before flows increased. An absolutely amazing and very challenging canyon. Added a traverse line bolt to the R4 station, as well as one to the jump between R7 and R8.

Comment: Outstanding. The gorge and cirques are special. R4 and the final sequence R8-R10 are the cruxes. In the final sequence all the anchors are at pourovers which could be fatal at high flow - R8 is at a leg entrapment chockstone in concentrated pouroff, R9 is at a ledge you mantle up onto or get pushed left which would be bad, R10 is a high reach from a stomach deep pool at a strong laminar flow through a V slot. All do-able in moderate flow but high flow would require belaying and acrobatics. One 30' one 20' and several small jumps made it a very fun day. Multiple exits along the route. First group of the year must bring a drill for safety. All anchors that are not logs are single bolt and the final anchor could use a traverse line anchor.

Comment: Amazing sculpted rock and challenging horizontal problems. Unusually cold! We started at R5 due to late start. This canyon should only be attempted by teams with excellent swift water skills.

Comment: The upper part of this canyon has been descended (not by our group) but due to the high water and hydraulics, the group had to bail. Our group only went to look at the canyon since it was close to Gorge and Thornton. Currently, there is way too much water to safely descend this canyon but if there ever are low water conditions, this canyon would be spectacular to descend at night (when it is lit!)
