Comments: This canyon was really blown out due to flash floods from hurricane Hillary. There were 2 small pools of water that were easily avoided. We rebuilt all but 2 anchors. Your group should be familiar with checking and rebuilding cairn anchors. Approaching on the southern side of the canyon as if doing Turtle Tears and Ladder of Doom in one day might be easier than the approach listed here.

Comment: Seems like a storm or two has been through here. The eponymous ladder is no longer there. In fact I couldn't even find any traces of it. I know I was where it used to be from pictures.

Most if not all of the anchors were gone or unusable. Be prepared to build anchors. Here is what I ended up doing --

1 slung tree 1 fiddlestick and rock 1 made rock pile anchor + fiddlestick 1 tree + fiddlestick 1 tree with lots of webbing and fiddlestick

I started running out of time so my last anchor setup wasn't that great, I recommend redoing this. I see a cairn in Stav Basis's pictures which was definitely lot there when I was there (there was webbing around a couple rocks, the remnant of a cairn anchor, which I removed). It may also be possible to climb over RDC and into the side canyon and descend by where the ladder used to be?

I also found anchors/webbing (in various states) above 2 or 3 spots that can be downclimbed.
