Comments: High water conditions making for more difficult conditions (hydraulics) especially with beginner canyoneer. We were able to bypass R1 on canyon left by setting a traverse line, R2 was bypassed by climbing up to tree on canyon right to set alternative rappel of 50 feet. We were not able to bypass R3/J1 but were able to set a guided rappel to keep all but the first person out of the powerful waterflow. For first person, the hydraulic should push you out to the right side of the flow and doesn't seem to function as a "keeper". Would recommend 120feet of rope in high conditions to allow for setting up alternative rappel and guided rappel if water levels appear to high for safe descent in the flow.
