Comments: We did what we think is the first recorded descent of the canyon, its an awesome little canyon for Montana and worth the time. Read beta for a better idea of route selection.

Comment: Went and did LGC again for a second descent. This time I did my recommended route and found a much more pleasant approach. We also did some more direct water course rappels in a higher flow. New farthest rappel is 120 feet. Canyon can be done with 80 feet of rope with a pull cord. However it will be unpleasant.

I rated this time much lower because the FD aspects have warn off. This canyon is less bang for its buck compared to its neighbor trinity, however, if you are in the area. You might as knock out both.

Trinity is more technical, however LGC will give you a run for your money when it comes to creativeness. Due to the very thick layers of moss, choosing and rappelling off anchors is a very difficult challenge. Not great for beginners, or intermediates for that matter. Easy canyon, hard to keep it pretty.

The next party should bolt, just to protect the greenery.
